Are you able to give advice over the phone?

Answer

It depends how much advice you need.

If you need some information about our services or other services from our Help-desk then the answer is “yes” and we will be very happy to do our best to help.

If you need legal advice about a problem we will almost always need to meet you face-to-face to open a case file for you after which we can give you legal advice over the telephone.

If your problem is very urgent and attending a weekly drop-in session will mean that you miss a time limit or make it harder to solve your problem you can speak to a Help-desk advisor over the telephone.  They can liaise with the casework team to see if an earlier face-to-face appointment can be prioritised for you.
