To help you find advice where we can’t assist you

Not sure who to ask?
Not sure where to look?
Not sure if you should seek legal advice?
Problem we can’t help you with?

What we do

  • Volunteers backed up by regular staff will direct you to the most appropriate service provided by Bury Law Centre or provide information about other appropriate sources of advice

  • Arrange appointments for the Legal Guidance Clinic where a longer conversation with a lawyer is needed to help you decide what to do

What we can’t do

  • Volunteers on Help Desk can’t give legal advice
  • Recommend one alternative service over another

Contacting us

It is best to contact Help Desk by telephone or in person.  If you can’t contact us during office hours and can only contact us by email please include your postcode (so that we can point you to the services
